Mother Centre Plamen
In Bosnia, we cooperate with the Mother Centre in Plamen, Zavidovici (‘Plamen’). Mother Centres are low threshold community centres for women that function as public living rooms in which women develop lobby and advocacy activities. In the Bosnian cities of Vitez and Zenica, Plamen trained and coached two new Roma Mother Centres. Plamen is developing into an international training centre that receives Roma women groups from Bulgaria, Serbia, Macedonia, Albania and Slovakia. The connection with the Mother Centre Plamen offers the Roma centres access to the experiences, knowledge and activism in the European Mother Centres network.
